MP John-Paul Danko was elected in April 2025. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources and eleven Parliamentary Associations.

MP Danko previously served as the Hamilton City Councillor for Ward 8, and is a McMaster University graduate and licensed structural engineer.

Hamilton West–Ancaster–Dundas is an urban-suburban riding in southern Ontario, Canada, including the west end of Hamilton and the communities of Ancaster and Dundas, with over 120,000 residents.

The riding features many natural areas, City parks and trails. It also hosts McMaster University, Redeemer University, and Mohawk College. Life sciences is the largest regional employer.

Duke and I spend time here on a regular basis and it was a nice way to remember his sacrifice and the price of the freedoms we too often take for granted.

Great to join my colleagues and Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree at the Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA to celebrate a key Budget 2025 investment that will bring their new Centre of Community to life.

This project will create space for families, recreation, and housing—helping more people connect, grow, and thrive right here in Hamilton.
