MP John-Paul Danko was elected in April 2025. He is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, serving with the Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney. MP Danko is a member of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources and eleven Parliamentary Associations.
MP Danko previously served as the Hamilton City Councillor for Ward 8, and is a McMaster University graduate and licensed structural engineer.
Hamilton West–Ancaster–Dundas is an urban-suburban riding in southern Ontario, Canada, including the west end of Hamilton and the communities of Ancaster and Dundas, with over 120,000 residents.
The riding features many natural areas, City parks and trails. It also hosts McMaster University, Redeemer University, and Mohawk College. Life sciences is the largest regional employer.
